Hey guys, I recently took the wrinkle up north to go and see my sister and family etc.....on the way through Grafton I noticed that the Jacarandas are starting to colour up!!
When my kids were younger it was a game to spot the purple tree, and we would drive though suburbs with the kids yelling out whenever they saw a purple tree.
This puts me in two minds.....the first being that I really do miss those days when they were young, innocent and loved cuddles with their dad....when they would still run and jump up for a hug and carry on the shoulders..............BUT.......I am so incredibly proud of the outstanding young ladies they have become. They are both beautiful, confident intelligent young women, who have their lives to live....but the trade off is I don't see them anywhere near enough .......nowadays its a catch up for dinner where we can, Christmas and Fathers Day etc.....so I just learn to live with the fact that they don't need their dad anymore....not like they used to anyway.
My man flu is tracking along nicely, I am not enjoying it at all, but I will soldier on regardless
Ok guys, if you get the chance to go for a drive and check out the Jacarandas I strongly suggest you do it........

Well good morning to you all....its been a little chaotic of late but I haven't forgotten you all
Still doing a few photos of Turrimetta including this little black and white number with the water coming in between to rock shelves.
My Man Flu has now settled in my chest but, powerhouse that I am, it hasn't killed me.......I am pushing forward and fighting the good fight.....I tell ya its tough but lucky for me I have these important tasks to keep me on track!!!
I hope your all doing as well as can be expected, and I hope the week is tracking along for you......
I will bid you all a fond adieu for now.....my brain wont conjure up a bunch of words that make enough sense to write here, so I will give it up as a bad joke lol
Ciao fa now
Morning all....well I haven't recovered a whole lot, in fact I have possibly got a little worse. Really early into bed last night......and as a consequence, awake ridiculously early today lol.
In Coffs....and I had intended on getting up early anyway to go shoot sunrise.....but im gunna guess by the sound of the thunder and pouring rain that's not gunna happen so I might return to bed and have a little more sleep lol.. But not before I put up a few photos....Today over the hours there will be land based shots and some drone shots over Turrimetta Beach......The drone ones have barely been touched, the sky was ridiculously blue, and it reflected in the waters....all I did was to resize them....pretty cool!!
Ok guys, I hope you are all ok and I will chat to you all soon........................sorry for the brevity of the blog, but truthfully I am knackered and got to finish the drive north......
Ciao fa now
Hey guys.....I have dragged myself off my death bed to post a few photos.....the Man Flu is battering my weary body mercilessly, but I'm putting up a great fight and I believe I will pull through eventually..........
One of the things that helps me push past the sickness barrier is to get photos and then share them with you guys.....that's how committed I am to making your lives a little better lol.....yes its a sacrifice, but I am just that good a guy!!!!
Dotted around the harbour there are thousands of places to stop, watch the sun go down and the lights of the city come on . Sydney is just a super pretty city from most angles.
I also still have a few sunrise ones from the other day....you know....where the sun didn't actually show itself bahahaha........
Ok I have to go.......I will chat to you all soon
Ciao fa now
Morning guys, hope your doin ok....not sure what happened last night, I went to bed feeling pretty well and had a little problem dropping off, only to wake up feeling like rubbish. Nose clogged, headache, coughing, oh dear god, I think I may have Man Flu.....which means of course that I am balancing on a knifes edge health wise.....why do the good go so young???
A tad over dramatic, possibly, but those of you who have suffered through Man Flu or have dealt with their man in this condition know that this is no laughing matter.
The weather outside looks craptacular, which doesn't help make me feel any better......anyway to other things, look at the beautiful greens of the moss growing on the rocks at Turrimetta beach at sunrise. This beach is amazing.....you can go down there one day and the sands cover all te rock shelves and there are hardly any rocks showing...and then a week later all of the rocks and gullies are exposed.....the ocean is truly an ever changing beast......
Well im gunna get off here and try to find a way to feel better.....chat to you all later.
Ciao fa now
Black and white dramatic shots look pretty cool I reckon.
Turrimetta beach this morning, no sun to be seen and dark clouds hovering on the horizon...
Its not always about colour and bright sunshine.
Have a great week, enjoy hump day as best you can.....and chat to you all soon

Sitting by himself....alone out on the ocean, a solo surfer greets the day with open arms.
Not a bad way to start the day really!!
Just off Burleigh Beach, this was where I was originally pointing the camera and after I grabbed this shot was when I happened to look out through the lens out to sea and got the whale breaching!!
Its not a bad style of beach as far as QLD beaches go, I mean I don't want to build them up too much, it is Queensland after all lol.
The weather is nothing to write home about at the moment but I feel sure it will improve soon ..... The weekend is almost upon us yet again, so try to enjoy where you can, I will chat to you all soon
Ciao fa now
Please forgive the less than amazing quality...this whale was breaching about 600m offshore and I just happened to be pointing the camera there at the time and it was the only time the whale breached so I think I pretty lucky to have got the shot at all....
Burleigh Heads, up in not so sunny Queensland....that's where this was taken....the weather was ordinary and the seas were pretty choppy so I was sort of surprised that the whale decided to breach when it did!!
Even at that distance its an impressive sight and feeling when one of these magnificent creatures shows itself......
Hope your all having a great week...its already Thursday....where does the time go??
Ok guys chat soon...........ciao fa now..
Morning guys and gals....
What a world we live in, here In Australia we have divided camps with regards to same sex marriage, and it seemed a massive problem, with both camps using bullying tactics (and yes BOTH camps are as shit as each other)....well done Malcolm you posing Muppet, you have managed to single handedly screw the country with your inabilities!!
Then Las Vegas comes along and some self loathing prick decides to end the lives of 58 innocents then turn the gun on himself and end it.....I personally think he should have started on himself and then worry about the others if he was able to manage it.......what a loser.....Kim Jong Un will be applauding, he is saving money everywhere....he doesn't need to bomb the USA.....they will fuck themselves up with no effort from Kim!!
I am just back from up north where I caught up with some of the family, and then drove home yesterday.......really good to see them all, I dont see my sisters and bro in laws and nieces and nephews enough......so was good to see their faces.....as I age I appreciate it a little more!! And given the state of the world as we know it ......who knows if we will survive it all lol so I might as well see them when I can........
So here is another one from the other night when I got the sunset over the river.......maybe that will make me feel better!!!
Ok guys, have a great short week of work, and I will chat to you all soon......
Ciao fa now
Sunset....what a great time to be out and about and grabbing a photo or 2!!
And didn't last night turn on a great one! I was out and about and down near an area known as Putney. Located between Ryde and Gladesville, on the Parramatta River , I used to water ski here a million years ago, back when this area was a small backwater and no one even knew it existed.....nowadays its a very sought after area and has had a massive rebuild all round the suburb.
Looks to be a nice day out there today, I am sure a heap of people will be hitting the road to head off for the long weekend.....if your amongst them please drive very carefully, there has already been a few bad accidents and lives lost.....no holiday is worth a death.
Grand Final weekend.....in Sydney and Melbourne, so im guessing Grand Final parties will abound!! Personally I know zero about AFL so I will say "Go .....whoever wins" bahahaha
As for the NRL....no Sydney teams are in.....I cant barrack for QLD....so I guess begrudgingly I will say....Go Storm......sounds so wrong to me......
Have a great weekend, drive carefully........I hope whatever teams you follow win and that the weather stays nice.........
